Mending Projects
As discussed in class, here is the information regarding mending
projects:
Part of the practical application of being able to sew, is being able to mend
or repair damaged clothing or fabrics. In our society it is easy to throw away
something that is damaged and just buy new, however it is more economical and
environmentally responsible to repair something rather than replace it. For this
project, you are required to obtain* an item that is in need of repair. It could
be something as simple as replacing buttons, putting on a patch or hand
stitching a hole. You are required to do this TWICE in the semester once before
end of first quarter and again before the end of second quarter.
* See teacher if you need help finding an item to mend.
Remember that mending projects must be completed IN CLASS and turned in with
a completed Mending Project form in order to receive a grade. See Mrs. Wysocki
with questions.

Ordering Patterns
As discussed in class, I have a couple sources for you to get additional patterns and sewing stuff from. Remember if you want me to order for you, give me a list with the pattern number and if applicable, what size you need. Each pattern costs $1.00. You must pay before you order. It takes about 2 weeks to get them once I place the order. Click the links below to browse the selections but your order must be placed through me. Happy sewing!
